Audio codecs and their perceptual quality evaluation
Hudec, Andrej ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with audio codecs and tests to evaluate their listening quality. The thesis offers a description of the properties of human hearing, a brief introduction to the issues of audio coding, types of audio data compression and listening tests. The bachelor thesis also contains a theoretical description of the coding processes of selected audio codecs, evaluation of measuring their computational complexity and evaluation of listening quality of each of them using listening tests. HTML, CSS, Javascript and Python programming languages were used to implement the listening test environment. The audio files examined in the listening tests were obtained using the FFmpeg library.
Perceptual Audio Coding
Novák, Vladimír ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
his thesis describes Perceptual Audio Coding of MPEG1 Layer 3 format (ISO/IEC 11172-3), principles and algorithms of psychoacoustic model. MATLAB application for modeling of Psychoacoustic model 2 of this audio format is developed.
Jukebox - Musical Record User Interface
Šošovička, Peter ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with GUI development and MP3 player task. Additionally, the thesis presents analysis and design of musical record interface application for commercial use ("Jukebox"). This thesis also describes how individual parts of the application are implemented.
Design of micro stereo system
Holzer, Jakub ; Křenek, Ladislav (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with an analyse and design of the audio microsystem belonging to middle or upper class With an emphasis on its utility, intuitive control, ergonomic solution and inovative approach to the design.
Music Style Recognizer from mp3
Duchoň, Luboš ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Grézl, František (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with detailed description of MP3 audio data format and music style recognizer. This recognizer is based on HTK Hidden Markov Models toolkit and coefficients obtained directly from MP3 files.
Sound Module for FITkit Platform
Bartoš, Pavel ; Růžička, Richard (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work deals with module of the FITkit platform, which makes it able to play sound files like mp3, ogg, etc. The module also adds to FITkit some new peripherals: color LCD display with touch screen and USB interface, by which we can connect flash drive.
Processing of MP3 files for DSP
Římský, Adam ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Herman, Ivo (advisor)
This thesys is concerned with create of compressed .MP3 files and their conversion back into PCM format. I describe individual parts of these operations for their maximal understanding by reader. Next part is generally about properties of DSP, their architecture, computation possibilities and about properties of used product by Analog Devices. In last part is showed implantation of decoder in DSP architecture.
Music Style Recognizer from MP3
Deutscher, Michael ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Grézl, František (advisor)
This document describes the concept of music style recognition. It gives a quick reference to the digitalization of music data and storing music data in computers. It also mentions features used for music style recognition and their extraction. The main part of this document compares the successfulness of music genre recognition using features extracted directly from audio data in mp3 format and features extracted by usual analysis.
Music player based on ARM
Hejdová, Martina ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the principles of a MP3 audio format decoding on available develpoment kits powered by ARM processors. It compares kit MCB2300 with LPC2378 microcontroller and kit Raspberry Pi with Debian operation system. The comparsion is focused on their suitability for MP3 decoder implementation. A complete design of support hardware modules, which complement the missing hardware of development kits is described in detail. Thesis includes the realization of an implementation of a MP3 decoder with additional visual effects in a form of an attached RGB LED strip developed on a Raspberry Pi development kit.
Digital Audio Steganography
Morávek, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
Nowadays much more information is transfered and saved in electronic files. The digitalization allows easier access to information, not only for the user, but also for a possible attacker. This fact leads to progress in information security area. Besides cryptography, this also includes steganography. This thesis is focused on steganography in general and describes digital audio steganography in detail. Implementation and evaluation of several methods are also parts of this thesis.
